Oki Golf Acquires Harbour Pointe Golf Club

Bellevue, Wash. - Oki Golf, a collection of premier golf clubs in Washington state, announces today that it has purchased one of the north Puget Sound's top public courses, Harbour Pointe Golf Club.

With a total of 10 courses now under its umbrella, the purchase positions Oki Golf as the largest golf stakeholder in the Northwest. Harbour Pointe joins Oki Golf's portfolio of properties in Washington state that includes The Golf Club at Newcastle (Newcastle), Washington National Golf Club (Auburn), Trophy Lake Golf & Casting (Port Orchard), The Golf Club at Echo Falls (Snohomish), The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie (Lacey), Indian Summer Golf & Country Club (Olympia), and The Plateau Club (Sammamish). Golfers in the greater Seattle and Bellevue area can now enjoy 8 premier public courses located within a 60-mile radius up and down the I-5 corridor.

Harbour Pointe Golf Club, located in Mukilteo, Wash., showcases an 18-hole, 6,878-yard course designed by world-renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills. Shortly after opening in 1991, the facility was named "Best New Public Golf Course" by Golf Digest and its reputation grew when in 1996 it was honored again by Golf Digest as the "Second Best Golf Facility in the Northwest". The course includes two distinctive nines, featuring amazing views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. The front 9 is relatively flat with water on almost every hole, while the back nine is set among rolling hills and lined by huge Evergreen trees.

"Acquiring Harbour Pointe is a tremendous step for Oki Golf, both as a brand and as an industry leader in the Northwest," said Nancy Cho, President and CEO of Oki Golf. "This addition is a perfect fit for the Oki Golf vision. Since purchasing our first course in 1994, we've been committed to creating an incomparable golf experience for our guests. By having Harbour Pointe in the portfolio, we'll be able to further enhance the 'Oki Golf Experience' – based on 'best of class' facilities, inspired customer service and exceptional value. It also provides geographic balance to the portfolio complimenting our North Sound presence by joining The Golf Club at Echo Falls and Oki Golf's flagship property, The Golf Club at Newcastle."

"I have mixed emotions regarding the sale of the Harbour Pointe Golf Course, including some sadness," said Ed Hansen, President of Golf Northwest, Inc., the general partner of Harbor Pointe Golf Associates, LP. "I am proud of the quality and success of the course we built and the friendly, customeroriented, golf club we established. At the same time, I am confident that Oki Golf will continue to maintain a top quality golf experience for golfers and will build upon the foundation we established to assure the continued success and improvement of Harbour Pointe."

The acquisition adds yet another dimension to Oki Golf's extensive tournament services. With one phone call, customers gain access to all ten of Oki Golf's premier golf courses located throughout western Washington and feature competitive price points to fit any budget.
